First of all, this blog is not about me but about a special project I’m undertaking. This blog is a platform to showcase my writing talent especially in the field of info-journalism. I have always wanted to write about current events and this would be a perfect experiment to showcase whatever talent I have in this field.

Nevertheless, Here’s A Little About Me

I’m Fendi Salim and I hail from the Little Red Dot. Want to know where that is? Google “Little Red Dot” and you’ll find out. Let’s do a little trivia here. The 1st 100 people who can guess where that is and send me a short little message via my contact page will receive a personal reply from me and I will write a post on something you personally wanted written about. What We Will Be Covering

As mentioned, this is a special project and there will be a timeline. From May to September 2008, I hope to cover current news events around the world. A few to take note of:-

US Presidential Elections - Who will lead the Democrats? Will it be Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama? Who will challenge for the coveted presidency against John McCain from the Republicans to replace the outgoing George Bush? Even though I’m not from the US, it is interesting to see where this is heading as ultimately; it will affect the shape of the world in the next term.

2008 Beijing Olympic Games - Can the sleeping giants, China, overhaul the United States in the medal tally on home territory? Will the Americans bow to defeat to the Orient Empire? Uncover the drama leading to the Olympic Games in Beijing as I take a stab into sports journalism.

Euro 2008 - With the English contingent out of the competition, who will lift the crown? Will it be unfancied defending champions Greece or will arguably the current best player in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, inspire the Portuguese to victory? No England means no drab football. Well, that’s a personal opinion. Sorry if you are English.

Sneak Peaks

An experiment with no limits and boundaries, I will also cover all kinds of other stuff ranging from sports - I love football I’m a Red Devil. If you don’t know what that means, go ahead and Google “Manchester United”. I hope to convert you over. If you are a Formula 1 fanatic - I can write all day long about my current favorite driver; Fernando Alonso.

We’ll also cover some local stuff from the “Little Red Dot” and other World News, trivial stuff like the digital world, your body and health, the fashion industry, world news, travel and many other interesting subjects.
